I am aspiring career in IAF. Or may be I should say I was. Given my age, 25, Air Force technical branch was my only hope. I attended AFCAT for the first time last August. I failed in ekt by seven marks, though I cleared AFCAT. This time I was more determined. I have been preparing for ekt for the past three months, getting back to the college stuffs again. I was eagerly waiting for AFCAT 1/2015. On 6 Dec ’14, Air force announced AFCAT 1/2015. I opened it, alas, what a heartbreak! IAF reduced the age limit for tech branch by two whole years. There was no prior notification. In fact, on the official site, it’s still written 28 years. How could they do this? I’m sure there are thousands of disappointed aspirants. IAF might reserve all rights to change the eligibility criteria at it’s will. But at least a prior notification? And with that, my ambition was stalled. Is there any chance ( I just can’t take it, still hoping for something) that IAF may consider changing the age limit?
